Before working with a new student, I usually perform a skill assessment. This may involve a formal testing process provided along with the curriculum materials being used. For example, I may have the student read passages, or  write a few paragraphs. This assessment helps me plan lessons that fit the student's needs.

As an English tutor I also help my students  polish their reading skills. This can include helping students fully comprehend the content of written passages, or having students read aloud to help with oral communication skills. Depending on the student's needs, I prompt students to write compositions or essays -- or simply teach them the basics of sentence composition. Because writing skills is a key to effective communication.

I also assign home works to them that will be reviewed in our next class. Some of my major achievements as a tutor is the satisfaction of seeing my student reach places and do things that they couldn't do before, solve class problems that were once difficult, and the immense pleasure I get when they meet me after so many years. I also made learning fun and interesting and made my student love learning. Teaching is my life.

I experienced great success at school due to amazing and unforgettable teachers. This is the foundation of my commitment to helping out my students, whatever their abilities may be. Currently, I am running an online course in Philosophy and Critical Thinking, I have been tutoring and teaching for 4 years now in various settings – tutoring small and large groups, private individual tutoring, and teaching in rural, and urban classroom and homes. My goal is to impact knowledge into every student under my care, and ensure that this knowledge is permanent in them even after my time as their Tutor.
