Personal Profile as a Math Teacher
I have been teaching mathematics for the past five years in private capacity at ordinary and advanced levels. I have taught mathematics at the level of junior secondary and senior secondary schools as home tutor in Lagos State, Nigeria. The students taught in this subject excelled in their examinations. I teach this subject for an average of two hours for effective teaching and these hours of tutoring is suitable for all categories of students.
Mathematics is a brain tasking subject which many students found interesting. Even students who are often afraid of the subject have always found it interesting at the end of the tutoring session. My approach in teaching mathematics has always been students-centred. That is, my approach of teaching mathematics has always been bottom-up approach. This approach has helped my students a lot and allayed the fears of many students in mathematics. With this approach in play, i has gone a long way in assisting students achieve a good grade in mathematics.
