Mr. Simplifier

From 2007 till date, I have been teaching Mathematics at different levels to numbers of NECO and WAEC candidates, precisely two hundred and forty -three (243) of them in secondary school setting, the simplified versions of the subject. The majority of the so called the dullest among them were graded with upper credit (C4) while numbers of “A” conscious – minded candidates achieved their dream. Over 89 candidates have obtained A grade in Mathematics under my tutelage. Having B grade was a dream for the average candidates.

These skills I have developed through my in-depth understanding of the subject and longer years of teaching and mentorship.

The following are my abilities to bring my students to their final excellent destinations:

  1. Not frown on wrong answers,
  2. Effective class management and control,
  3. Avoid shouting over my students,
  4. Varieties of activities from time to time,
  5. Encourage active participation from my students,
  6. Adopting flexible approach to teaching,
  7. Effective motivator to all.

On the basis of this, I am called Mr. Simplifier.

My love of teaching comes from a lifelong love of learning. As a Second Class graduate of Economics and Statistics with an M.Sc in Economics from University of Benin, I know that hard work and dedication to learning can pay off. My experience as a trained teacher in both the British and Nigerian curricula for more than 6 years, has seen me help hundreds of students realize their potentials and get higher grades in exams.

I specialize in tutoring Math, English, Verbal and Quanittiative Reasonings, Business Studies for Primary and JSS students, and have had successful experience preparing students for Common Entrance, JSCE, BECE, IGCSE and Checkpoints.

I also teach senior secondary Mathematics, English, Accounting, Economics and help out with numeracy, literacy, phonics, and handwriting improvement for early learners, and adults.

One of my goals for each session is to keep the student challenged, but not overwhelmed. I tailor my lessons to the students learning style, assign homework after every lesson, and provide periodic assessment and feedback both to the students and parent if applicable.

I look forward to hearing from you, and helping you achieve success in your studies!
