Being a teacher is a great responsiblity. You are trusted with the well being and monitoring of a number of children. As a teacher in the past, I have been in charge and successfully executed student assessments, classroom management and collaborating with colleagues.

Upper primary pupils are at a stage where they are getting ready to get into Secondary school and preparing them for this new journey mentally and academically has been entrusted in my care and has been carried out perfectly well. Teaching English language to upper primary pupils involved constant assessment of their performance to determine whether they need additional assistance, if they are grasping the lesson at hand and to track individual pupils progress. This is very necessary as it is important to make their transition to secondary school as easy as possible.

Another important aspect of teaching upper primary which I have handled in the past is Classroom Management Duties. This is very important and I made sure I created and implemented a classroom management system that sets up expectations and allows pupils to work in a safe and productive environment. To achieve this, I created a discipline plan which involved assigning duties of responsibilities to these pupils such as classroom prefect, note book manager, blackboard manager and environmental prefect. This gave the pupils a from of responsibility which is highly needed in secondary school. Other aspects of classroom management which I created were, creating a syllabus, creating and posting classroom rules and setting up workstations.

Upper primary pupils are at a stage where they do not know what to expect from secondary school, an entirely new system of education where teachers come in and leave with much more assignments, projects and class wroks. I believe it is very imperative to shape them and prepare them for this journey and I am very qualified to carry this out.
