British Upper Primary Creative Writing Tutor
Home tutor in Asokoro, Abuja
Writing is my passion as I have worked several years as a journalist and writer before venturing into teaching. Presently, as an English tutor, I get a lot of fulfillment helping youngsters overcome writing and comprehension difficulties. Creative writing could be fun and nurtures not just creativity, but also excellent communication skills in pupils.
The Upper Primary creative writing focus is mainly on Adventure and Mystery stories. Pupils are taught how to separate their thoughts into paragraphs. Paragraphing involves identifying your topic sentence, supporting sentences and concluding sentence.
Appropriate use of quotation marks, ending punctuations, commas , semicolons, colons as well as other relevant punctuation in their narratives are also in focus. Identifying themes in story as well as key features of dramas and scripts are also in focus.
To consolidate learning , pupils are engaged in as much practical work as possible, and are encouraged to use their imagination and write their own stories, separating details into paragraphs.
