Senior Secondary School English Tutor
Home tutor in Bwari, Abuja
As an English teacher, I believe it is my duty to help the student understand and properly become proficient in the subject. Spoken and written English is very sensitive and very necessary in our day to day communication and being able to both command and use the language is a plus to anyone who encounters you.
I took students who were porous in the subject during my National Youth Service in Osogbo, Osun state 2017/18 batch, and although it was quite herculean seeing that they could hardly spell let alone communicate probably without switching to their mother tongue Yoruba, their constant use of past tense in present tense situations, I had to start off with spelling & dictation, cross checking their notes at 2 weeks interval and giving them lots of assignment to challenge their IQ & help improve their reading, spelling and spoken English.
I eventually left the students better than I met them and given recognition while leaving. I have a passion for imparting knowledge & English has always been something that comes natural to me.
