Without much Ado, I must say passing Physics might appear difficult in the absence of the necessary guidance. Moreover, I can say with all confidence gathered from years of experience that students fail more because of lack of understanding of the differences between the two curricula. On a general note, the curriculum in Nigeria is subject centered and has its emphasis on the 'theoretical knowledge acquisition' but the British curriculum sees 'theory as a means to an end and not the end itself' They emphasize theory as much as it has viable relevance to practical application.

There are major concerns and note every student must keep to heart.

1. Rote-memorization or didactic learning approach will never work. You have to understand the concept, imagine its applications, try applying it , then absorb or internalize based on your understanding.

2. You must know that reading the whole of your textbook or completing your scheme of work is never a guarantee of success, rather, knowing, understanding and applying the major topics will.
