British Pre-Primary & Lower Primary General Tutor
Home tutor in Municipal Area Council, Abuja
The British curriculum is a well structured curriculum that helps students make progress in stages. Teaching Pre-Primary and Lower Primary with the British curriculum helps to develop analytical skills in students. They are able to ask constructive questions during and after classes.
Working with this curriculum helps to develop a healthy competition among peers. My approach in teaching these levels is a friendly and accommodative one. I make myself approachable to my students and build healthy relationship with them which fosters effective communication between us.
Being open and flexible with my students helps to bring out the best in them as they are more expressive of themselves while my firmness helps to instill discipline in them. I develop activities around teaching them numbers and alphabets which keeps them captivated. This makes learning memorable and engages them productively.
I teach step by step from identification to recognition and then fine motor skills involving numbers and letters per lesson. Also, I use pictures and number recognition games to make learning enjoyable to students. Phonics is not left out.

I conducted Assembly a number of times per week, I did circle time with the learners before we started each days' lessons. I guided the learners in identification and sounding of letters and numbers. I guided them during the STEMA (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Art) practicals and other classroom activities. I communicated daily with parents through each learners' Communication Book and also verbally when the situation demands it. I represented the school management when I'm assigned to do so. I worked with after-school learners and also during summer school.
