A graduate of the University of Lagos, I have a Bachelor and Master of Arts degrees in Philosophy, and took several courses in English Language from the Department of English Studies. I have over 6 years teaching experience, helping over 60 students excel in their exams at various levels.

I have attended a good number of periodic seminars and trainings that enhance one's teaching acumen and techniques, including that organized by the Macmillan Publishers in 2006: Approaches to Teaching English Language and Mathematics. Many parents admire my academic versatility, which is a product of extensive learning.

The spectrum of my teaching activities covers primary, secondary and undergraduate levels, English Language being my major specialization. Other subjects I handle competently include Government, Civic Education,    Social Studies, Christian Religious Studies, ICT (Computer), and general subjects for primary level.

I start by knowing the scope of knowledge of my student, identify areas of strengths and weaknesses and create confidence in the child regarding his/her ability to comprehend what is to be taught. I demand absolute attention and I'm able to detect easily when concentration is not at the best level. I create a sense of self-discipline and responsibility, putting as much importance on academic and moral excellence. 

I strongly believe that when the right mix of discipline, humor and mentoring is applied, every child is capable of learning and knowing the subject matter. Making the child perceive learning as fun rather than 'punishment' is what I do. My communication skills, enlightened sense of humor and sociability make me the favorite of my students; and they are always looking forward to the next class.
