My name is Akeem. I am graduate of Electrical and Computer Engineering.

I have four years experience teaching Mathematics and Basic Science.

My tool when i start teaching is, trying to instill in my students interest in the subject.

Once that interest is achieved, it becomes much easier for my students to motivate themselves, a skill which will help them extract as much joy as possible from all their future learning.

I frequently engage my students in conversations that take us well beyond the sometimes restrictive syllabus.

Another major tool, i aim to pass on to my students is a sense of organisation.

A well organised mind is much more adept at problem solving because it grants students the ability to take a step back and see the bigger picture.

I help my students to do this by talking often and in depth with them about problem solving in general and how we can apply the same techniques across a huge range of subjects and questions.

It has often been said that education is less about learning facts by rote and more about training yourself to think about the world in a different (and hopefully more useful) way.
