About

My name is Akure. I am a graduate of Biochemistry, from the University of Agriculture Makurdi. I have five years experience teaching Basic Science.

Through this, i firmly believe that no subject, however daunting, is too difficult for my student.

My job and favorite activity is to find that relatable example or way of looking at a topic that can unlock complex material for my student. Thanks to my previous experience as both a school teacher and a private tutor, i have experienced doing this at all primary school Basic Science levels .

Once a student is engaged, my priority is pushing and expanding their understanding in line with the relevant syllabus. I design a scheme of work for my students that solidly structures their learning and rigorously enables them in the demands of assessments.

When my student sits down in the exam hall, they should be confident as to what the examination is asking them, and how to answer.

My attention to engagement and structured progress provides struggling students with the tools and attitude to help lift their grades, and assists well-performing students in discovering that extra flair and enjoyment that can distinguish their work at the highest level.

I am very enthusiastic about teaching and take an approach that is both structured and flexible. I have a passion for building confidence in my students, and believe that this sense of confidence is integral for the development of individuals' independent learning skills. I consider that making seemingly tedious topics relatable and relevant, within the context of every day life, is the key to sparking my students attentiveness. Although my overall approach varies from student to student, i believe that igniting this excitement is of paramount importance in all lessons.
