Awoyinka I.

My name is Awoyinka, I am a graduate of Mathematics from Osun State university.I am passionate about imparting knowledge, I am a fast learner with impeccable verbal and written communication skills.

I enjoy teaching Primary and Secondary School Students Mathematics and i have been doing it for two years now. I have prepared my students for Common Entrance, and Junior WAEC.

In my lessons, I aim to build an engaging, positive and creative atmosphere in which students can flourish. For me, the importance of teaching is to allow students to access all areas of learning in a way that they enjoy, enabling them to gain a love for learning that will hopefully continue throughout their education.

I believe that teaching is about the individual and discovering how each student learns and what helps them. I have patience, I am creative and to me there is no such thing as a silly question!

I am sensitive to individual needs and believe that a personalised, multi sensory, cross-curricular and dynamic lesson plan, with positive encouragement, timed and structured activities, and assessment for learning, are key for all students to succeed as well as understand the direction of their learning moving forward. I believe that ‘Assessment for Learning’ is a particularly crucial element to lessons as this will allow the students to understand what they need to do to improve their learning and move on to a more advanced level of thinking.
