Christopher N.
Quantitative Reasoning Tutor
Proficient Quantitative Reasoning Teacher
As a quantitative reasoning teacher, what I do with my students is to help them read the statement of the problem carefully to make sure they understand the information given and the problem they are being asked to solve. I help them understand the quantities, the data, the conditions, the unknowns and all other parameters related to the problem. This requires determining what facts to use, when and how to use those facts to develop a solution to the problem. It requires a strategy and when they arrive at an answer, I ensure they check that it is reasonable.
