Basic Science and Technology Tutor
Innovative Basic Science Tutor
During my experience teaching Basic Science over the years, one thing that has become abundantly clear is that learning is an individual process. The great thing about my tutoring is that it really allows me tailor each lesson to the needs of my students, in other to help them achieve examination and educational excellence.
About
My name is Ekere. i am a Second Class Upper Division graduate of Industrial Chemistry of from the University of Benin.
With six years experience teaching Mathematics and Basic Science, i am able to tailor each tutoring assignment to the needs of my students.
Years of tutoring have taught me the importance of getting to know my students before we can set a detailed program of study.
I find that it is imperative to set goals for my students so that they know what they are aiming for.
Whether it's in Mathematics,or Sciences, my aim is always to foster my student`s independent and creative thinking and hopefully instill a real interest in the subject. Yes - the individual goal (such as passing an examinations) is important, but i would like my students to grow and develop skills which will help them in years to come.
My main focus is to promote deep understanding, and as an experienced teacher, i take pride in my ability to form excellent working relationships with all my individual students.
I am able to quickly identify my student’s current level, learning style and potential barriers to success. I then design a personalized program accordingly.

I find that patience and attentive listening are key skills as a tutor in enabling understanding and instilling a positive work ethic in my students. I am also alert to the fact that current examination assessment objectives demand specific techniques and demonstrations of skill from candidates and therefore that a coherent understanding of these specific examination techniques can be crucial to securing the highest grade.
