Learning and the learning process excite me to no end. Helping a student grasp a concept so well that he or she can explain it back to me is so fulfilling, especially when I get to see a glimmer of excitement from that comprehension.

About

I have 10 years worth of experience teaching Students Mathematics English Language, and Sciences and I have successfully prepared them for Internal and External Examination with a proven track record of success.

I am an experienced teacher and take pride in my ability to form excellent working relationships with all those that I teach and tutor. I am able to quickly identify a student’s current level, learning style and potential barriers to success. I then design a personalised program accordingly.

My main focus is to promote deep understanding though I am a firm believer in developing fluency by providing opportunities for lots of question practice. I have a strong interest in educational technologies and incorporate their use where appropriate to achieve maximum progress.

I tailor each tutoring assignment to the needs and abilities of each individual, since many years of tutoring have taught me the importance of getting to know my students before we can set a detailed program of study.

Whether it's in Maths, or the Sciences, my aim is always to foster a student's independent and creative thinking and hopefully instill a real interest in the subject. Yes - the individual goal (such as passing an exam) is important, but I'd like my students to grow and develop skills which will help them in years to come.
