Subjects Adeyemi O. also teaches
My approach to tutoring is student-driven and question-based. 'Student-driven' means that each lesson is tailored to their own needs and concerns. We tackle the topics that they find most challenging and build confidence from there. 'Question-based' means that I always keep my students engaged and on their toes. They are an active participant in the lesson and enjoy rising to the challenge.
I am very passionate and enthusiastic about teaching, and take a structured and detailed approach in order to instill confidence in my students and help develop their skills. I have learnt to be adaptable, flexible and dynamic in order to meet the individual needs of each student, and having taught a wide range of ages and abilities across the spectrum, I understand the importance of employing different learning styles and strategies in order to maximize each student's full potential.
As we tackle more material, I make sure that we regularly revisit what we've learnt in previous weeks. Recapping our progress at the beginning of each lesson means that new-found knowledge sticks in my student's long-term memory. They'll be well-prepared when exam time comes around!

I am the Vice Principal (Academics), I coordinate all academic related activities within the school, it is my duty to create an effective timetable at the beginning of each session and also ensure it is adhered to by both teachers and students. It is also my duty to evaluate the lesson notes of all teachers on a weekly basis. This is to ensure they are in line with the school's approved curriculum. I evaluate and carry out appraisal on all academic staff at the end of every term and session. I liaise with the other top management of the school as well as parents on how to aid the performance of students.
Subject Teacher (Mathematics) and Vice PrincipalSep 2006 - Oct 2008
I taught Mathematics to students in JSS1-3 and SS1-3. I prepared the senior class for their various external examinations. I did this with the aid of past question papers and other materials at my disposal. I gave mock examinations to help me gauge their level of preparation. I was also the Vice Principal where I had to coordinate all academic related activities of the school, ensure teachers were adhering to timetables and curriculum, registration of students for external examinations, liaising with subject teachers and parents as to how we can better the performance of children.

Mr Gbenga has been a thoroughly knowledgeable and inspiring tutor to have, and his patient and considerate approach makes it much easier to understand challenging concepts. He has challenged my ward to approach weaker areas with enthusiasm which has made him a great help to us.
