How do you operate?

Three easy steps:

The client/parent is required to fill our online form which helps us collect all the important information about the learner that we need to match them to a highly suitable tutor. We Search our database for tutors who suit your preference and are knowledgeable in the field the learner wishes to learn. We also handle all negotiations with tutors and send the most suitable tutor to you.
What ages and classes do you work with?
We work with students from ages 4 upwards. However, for any child between 4 and 8 we require that a nanny or guardian must be present with the child at all times while the tutor is teaching/coaching the child. This is because the tutors we provide do not offer NANNY services, and will not assist in any duties that do not pertain to tutoring. We hope you understand
How do you charge and what are the rates?
We charge based on a number of factors;
  • What is the specialty of the knowledge or skill that is to be taught?
  • How many learners is the tutor expected to handle?
  • What are the number of days for tutoring and how many hours will each session last?
  • What is the distance between the tutor and the client’s residence ?
  • What is the level of experience that the client requires the tutor to have?
  • What is the age of the learner?

What if the fee is beyond my budget?
We do our best to ensure that we are able to work within reasonable budgets (usually above 30,000 per month) and since we work with such a large number of tutors we are always able to find tutors within your budget.
How flexible are the arrangements?
Flexibility is key to us, which is why every arrangement can be changed with further conversations between client and tutor. In cases where the new arrangements by a client are no longer favourable for the tutor, we are able to find a new tutor for the client at no extra charge. However, the client is required to give Prepclass at least a one month’s notice prior to the change.
Would the tutor steal from my house? How do I know he/she is a responsible individual?
The home is a very sacred place and we take extra precautions to ensure that our tutors are not only highly responsible but in a case of any reported issues we are able to track them. Prepclass handles the cost of incurred due negligence of the tutor.
How many tutors can I get for each learner?
You can get as many tutors as you want. However, we generally advise not to have more than 2 tutors for one child except in cases where the child is learning several specialized subjects.
How often will the tutor come?
Schedules and length of classes are arranged based on client’s preference.
Do you have tutors for skilled/ specialized subjects?
Yes we have tutors competent in teaching specialized skills like languages, such as French, Spanish etc,learning to play the keyboard, programming, website design and driving etc.
What happens in cases of change in location, or if one of the children goes to a boarding school?
As long as we are notified early between 2 weeks and 1 month, we will be able to handle any drastic changes with minimal cost to the client.
How can I get a discount?
We give discounts between 10 and 20% for clients who pay for 3 months or more upfront.
Under what circumstances do I get a refund?
We make refunds for services not rendered, in other words if a client already paid upfront and for any reason the service of a tutor is discontinued or no longer required we will return the client’s money. However, in cases where the discontinuity comes from the client, we require a 1 month notice.
