Dedicated Basic Science
I strongly believe that learning should be enjoyable. My students learn more effectively when they take a genuine interest in their studies.
It is the job of the tutor to spark enthusiasm in their students and tap into their motivations and passions.
I encourage my students to be inquisitive and take pride in their work and i see my job as creating a supportive environment so that they can flourish.
My name is Agbaje, I am a graduate of Anatomy from the University of Lagos, and a trained teacher (PGDE). I have over ten years experience teaching Mathematics and Basic Science, and believes in honesty, hard work, dynamism, practical and applied teaching.
My teaching approach is based on two principles: engagement and method.
Engagement: Students learn more quickly and energetically if they are interested in the topic or skill that we are trying to master.
Therefore i assess each of my students, not only on their academic abilities but also their motivations and personality and adapt my lessons accordingly. This drives my students to learn during our time together and long after our lessons have finished.
Method: All subjects and skills can be mastered with a methodical approach and consistent work.
For this reason i plan individual lessons and programs of study with clear short and long-term objectives. With these my students and i can track and celebrate our progress as we go as well as identifying any areas that need extra work.
This approach produces clear academic results and demystifies challenging subjects and skills.

My approach is iterative; I constantly change the way and level of what i teach in response to feedback from my student. Having spent more time than most as a classroom teacher, i have learnt a plethora of methods to remember the variety of material expected of the modern student, as well as the best strategies for effective preparation and techniques to use in the examination. More importantly, i bring an enthusiasm to the subjects i teach which i pass on to my student.
