My name is Edet, I have about 6 years experience teaching various age ranges, my specialist subjects include Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English Language and Sciences. I am particularly interested in teaching students science-based subjects and also Computer Adaptive Tests (IELTS, GRE, SHL, GMAT, SAT Math, SAT, TOEFL).

My approach to tutoring starts with the individual needs of the student as my teaching style is flexible and thorough. I believe every student is different and they all require a nuanced approach to enable them to make the most progress possible.

The essential aspect of my tutoring is to build and maintain confidence in every area of learning, as I believe that there is nothing that someone cannot do at any level if they believe they can.

I have embraced 'learning' as a process to be developed, understood and enjoyed and I ensure that my tuition is designed not just to bolster my tutees' techniques and understanding, but also to increase their confidence, interest, and ability to enjoy the subject.

My approach is iterative, I constantly change the way and level of what I teach in response to feedback from the student. I have learnt a plethora of methods to remember the variety of material expected of the modern student, as well as the best strategies for effective preparation and techniques to use in the exam. I bring an enthusiasm to the subjects I teach which I pass on to my students.

Observing my tutees' success and their growth in confidence makes me thrilled.
