Mathematics has evolved significantly over the past decade.
I have discovered that students are now required to have a deeper understanding of why they are applying rules or processes in a mathematical context. Therefore I endeavor to foster this knowledge on my students so that they can understand mathematics in a better and efficient way.
I find Mathematics fascinating, and I love to share my enthusiasm for the subject. My primary focus is on examination styled questions, so that my students become accustomed to problem solving and the language used in order to be more adequately prepared.
About
I have been teaching for the past 10 years and I have helped my students to prepare successfully for both internal and external examinations.
When teaching, I focus on building the confidence of my students, particularly in examination preparations and techniques.
It is vital that students gain a comprehensive understanding of how to decipher exams and the way they are marked but it is equally important for the students to feel confident, calm and capable when under examination environment.
As a teacher I am hugely enthusiastic about Mathematics, Sciences and I believe it is vital to create a supportive, enjoyable and productive learning environment for my students.
My initial approach is to develop a solid relationship with my students in order to discover their learning techniques, interests, strengths and weaknesses, to provide them with specific support and guidance.
The benefit of private tutoring is that it allows me to provide adequate lessons and strategies to students that can directly address any areas of lower confidence and bolster areas of strength and capability.

When teaching, i tailor each lessons to the needs of my student. Everybody learns in a variety of ways and as such, I am always on the look out for new techniques and ideas to help me in my teaching. That said, I am always committed to helping my students develop their confidence as I believe that if someone is to work successfully, they need to firmly believe in their capacity to improve. I like to encourage a relaxed but focused working environment with a friendly and engaging style.
