About

My name is Babajide. I am a first class graduate of Classical Studies from the prestigious University of Ibadan.

With over four years of teaching experience, i have developed an impressive capacity for delivering a wide range of curricula, especially internationally recognized ones like TOEFL and GMAT, i also teach English Language and World History.

“Tell me and i forget, teach me and i remember. Involve me and i learn.” (Benjamin Franklin)

My teaching style is based around this motto.

My sessions are as interactive as possible, explaining complex ideas in inspiring and interesting ways, therefore making it simple to understand.

I believe in setting a good base on which to build upon and then tackling examination questions and focusing on examination techniques.

Nothing is easy, so i help my students work hard in order to understand certain concepts.

I help my students learn beyond the restrictions of the course guide, so that when they walk into the examination hall, they feel relaxed, knowing that they have excess knowledge, and that the examiners could throw any question at them.

Of course i would not pile on too much information if my student does feel he or she is struggling, and would work at a pace they feel is comfortable.

Most important thing though, above all else, is to have fun and enjoy what you are learning, and i feel i can provide this.

Private tutoring is a wonderful way to teach. Doing one-on-one lessons offers the ability to gear every moment to suit each student’s unique outlook, thus generally achieving quicker results. I believe the key is to first get an understanding of my student’s motivation, learning technique and interests, then plan and tailor classes carefully and accordingly. Situations and attitudes often change, however, so as a tutor it is also essential to be alert, empathetic and flexible to ensure the best results.
