Teaching computer science begins with the fundamental understanding that students are the experts on how to teach, and students are the experts on content. I believe that, for teaching and learning to happen, there has to be an exchange of expertise between students and teacher.
This happens through dialogue and co-teaching i.e where my student gets an opportunity to learn a content and teach.
My name is Bankole, I am a graduate of Information Technology and Business Information from Middlesex University. I also have an Advanced Diploma in information technology from Aptech Nigeria.
I have been teaching students in Primary, Secondary School and even Adults, Information Technology for over two (2) years.
My approach to teaching: I believe that anyone can learn anything when they’re motivated and excited.
Today's education often focuses on passing exams rather than the joy of learning.
I certainly help with passing exams, but in such a way that it excites my students to want to learn more.
It’s important to me to create a nurturing environment to enable my students explore their ideas without fear of failure, building confidence and ultimately excelling.
I take pride on being able to discover the way a student thinks and the style of learning that best matches them.
