I am highly passionate and enthusiastic about imparting knowledge into children and education in general.

In my lessons, I aim to build an engaging, positive and creative atmosphere in which children can flourish. For me, the importance of teaching is to allow children to access all areas of learning in a way that they enjoy, enabling them to gain a love for learning that will hopefully continue throughout their education.

I believe that teaching is about the individual and discovering how each child learns and what helps them. I have patience, I am creative and to me there is no such thing as a silly question!

I like to view my lessons as an opportunity to inform and consolidate understanding through active engagement in a specific topic or subject being taught rather than it being a lecture. Having worked with students of various ages, I have come to notice a common trend: often, the basic knowledge of how to answer a question or solve a problem is present, but the student lacks the skill-set to confidently perform or solve that problem independently.

I taught students in primary 5 and 6. I created a lessons note on a weekly basis, I taught Mathematics, English Language, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning, Science, etc to my students. I issued examinations, assignments, class activities to the students to ensure they thoroughly understood what was taught in each class. I did all of this in accordance with the Nigerian approved curriculum of education. I prepared them for their common entrance examinations and basically their transition into the secondary school level of education.

When I first meet a child, I try to gauge the students learners capabilities, the rate at which he or she can understand/ assimilate concepts taught during sessions. I will create a lesson plan based on the curriculum the child makes use of in school. I would also ensure I issue periodic assessments to help me ascertain the child's progress.
