Children respond better to lessons that are fun and interesting, and this is the method I use. First gain their attention and then learning can be made easy. There's no reason why classes must be tedious and boring.
I studied Biochemistry from Benson Idahosa University, but my passion for teaching and learning inspired me to take up a course on Classroom practices. Determined to teach with the best practices and knowledge. I currently teach pupils aged 4-10 in one of the leading British/Nigerian Curriculum based schools. Teaching with flexibility and great adaptability to the student's preferred learning style is my focus. With more than 3 years worth of teaching experience, I have worked with different children and levels in primary school. I am exposed to different methods of stimulating and sustaining pupils attention. In addition , using hand activities, as well as technology to ensure pupils are well engaged and having lessons that are challenging but not overwhelming is a strategy I employ which produces visible and positive results. I have taught Numeracy, Literacy, Quantitative Reasoning, Verbal Reasoning and Basic Science. My lesson sessions are very intentional as every strategy used is to gain the student's trust and attention, thereby increasing learning pace and capacity.
