About

My name is Clinton. I am graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the Prestigious University of Benin.

A seasoned mechanical engineer with over two years experience in teaching.

Having taught Mathematics, Further Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry in SAT, SSCE and JAMB levels, i  have gained hands on experience in teaching and counseling to both children and adult.

I know that students succeed when their learning goals are not abstract or dictated by someone else but are personally meaningful. That is why i take time to really get to know my students so that i can put their learning into this context.

I also believe that my students learn best when they can see the real-world application of their knowledge and skills and when they are encouraged to aspire to the highest standards. For this reason, my education and professional background are a huge asset to me as a tutor.

As an experienced classroom teacher, i have a thorough understanding of the assessment requirements for public examinations, and i know exactly what it takes to succeed.

I tailor each tutoring assignment to the needs and abilities of each of my students, since many years of tutoring have taught me the importance of getting to know my students before we can set a detailed program of study.

Whether it's in Mathematics, or the Sciences, my aim is always to foster my student's independent and creative thinking and hopefully instill a real interest in the subject. Yes - the individual goal (such as passing an examination) is important, but I'd like my students to grow and develop skills which will help them in years to come.

I believe in a creative approach to learning: engaging lessons, application and feedback is always key. My work with my students involve creating a program that suits my students needs, we map out goals and assess our goals every week. In addition, my knowledge of the British School system is an asset, as I am able to help students excel in their entrance examinations and be prepared for the year ahead.
