English Language Tutor
My way of teaching Government is simple -- I don't want to spoon-feed students answers, leaving them unable to come up with any answer on their own. I help my students figure out the answers themselves. Every session with me is me asking questions, until it switches on the light bulb in the student's head.
My name is David, I am a Mass Communication graduate of Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. I have been teaching English Language, Government and Verbal Reasoning for two years now.
Being a dedicated tutor; I am highly passionate about all my subjects, and believe it is equally important to create a supportive, enjoyable and productive learning environment for my students.
One of my many approach to tutoring is, getting to know my student better, knowing their difficulties and strengths, in other to know the types of guidance they need for our subject..
Moving forward, one benefit of private tutoring is that it allows me to foster tailor made lessons and techniques to students that have lower confidence and bolster areas of strength and capability.
I am certain that my effectiveness as a tutor comes from my student centered approach. I create lessons that call upon a wide range of learning strategies to meet the unique needs of every student. Encouraging my students to achieve the satisfaction of finding answers themselves is a great importance rather than supplying them answers myself. I aim to have a long lasting effect on the pupils I work with, instilling in them a passion for learning, a mature and organized approach to studying, and the academic and personal skills that they need to achieve their goals.

As a teacher of several years I find the best way of getting results from children is the one on one approach. The ability to work with one person, ask questions, seek advice and get feedback is invaluable to the learning process. A relaxed atmosphere which is congenial to both tutor and student I think is the best environment for the students to achieve.
