Dedicated Mathematics Tutor

When teaching maths, i teach my students the real skills of problem solving, which involves a willingness to try different options, as well as skills in taking things one step at a time. I am very good at explaining advanced concepts in simple terms, and also helping the student get command of the fancy language at the same time. I train my students on how to utilize the natural functionality of the brain in doing Maths.

About

My name is Denwigwe, I am a graduate of Microbiology from the Federal University of Technology Owerri.

I have two (2) years teaching experience, teaching Mathematics and Science to primary School Students.

The relationship is key for me. I have found that without a trusting base upon which to build, progress is very slow. I put a great deal of effort into ensuring that atmosphere and approach are calm and open with the ultimate aim of high-intensity, low-pressure learning. I have for all of my students very high expectations and want them to work hard for whatever it is they are looking for, be it entry into top Secondary Schools or pass the internal School Exams.

Private tutoring is a wonderful way to teach. Doing one-on-one lessons offers the ability to gear every moment to suit each person’s unique outlook, thus generally achieving quicker results. I believe the key is to first get an understanding of a student’s motivation, learning technique and interests, then plan and tailor classes carefully and accordingly. Situations and attitudes often change, however, so as a tutor it is also essential to be alert, empathetic and flexible to ensure the best results.

Hard work and dedication are also crucial to achieving goals, and throughout my classes I look for ways to get students enthused and keen to put in the time, which will help them with independent study. It is only when I think they are working to the best of their ability that I am satisfied.
