My name is Emeafor. I am a graduate of Hospitality Management from Kwara State Polytechnic. My two years experience in teaching primary students literature in English and Basic Science has shaped my perspective about tutoring.

The greatest reward tutoring can offer is watching a student grow in knowledge but also self-confidence. I believe effective tutoring is about delivering complex concepts in simple terms with patience, enthusiasm and encouragement.

Developing strong relationships with students means that parallels can be drawn between what is being studied, and the students' own life experiences, which makes for a deeper level of understanding and, ultimately, better learning. Surely, teaching skills and initiatives that students can then forever more rely upon, such as word association and memorization through recalling related experiences, is the best legacy any tutor can have.

Once a student is engaged, my priority is pushing and expanding their understanding in line with the relevant syllabus.

I design a scheme of work for each student that solidly structures their learning and rigorously enables them in the demands of assessments. When a student sits down in the exam hall, they should be confident as to what the exam is asking them, and how to answer.

My attention to engagement and structured progress, provides struggling students with the tools and attitude to help lift their grades, and assists well-performing students in discovering that extra flair and enjoyment that can distinguish their work at the highest level.
