My sessions are built towards a student led structure, with the pupil picking their weaknesses to explore but begin with a more supported tutorial with discussions about texts lead by me so that they never feel too intimidated. Eventually, I will become less of a guidance and more of a challenger to their ideas in order to help them become independent in their thinking.

I am extremely passionate about education, children and the subjects I teach. I try to extend this passion and enthusiasm to my students to help them gain the confidence they want and need to tackle their examinations and class work/activities successfully.


My approach to tutoring is student-driven and question-based. 'Student-driven' means that each lesson is tailored to their own needs and concerns. We tackle the topics that they find most challenging and build confidence from there. 'Question-based' means that I always keep my students engaged and on their toes. They are an active participant in the lesson and enjoy rising to the challenge.


I hope to challenge and stimulate them in a way that gets them to think critically about the subject and thereby learn transferable skills that are not merely limited to an exam or test, but which will also be applicable in other areas of their lives.
