Competent Literacy Teacher

Effective teachers of literacy have a deep understanding of the complexities and cumulative processes of reading and writing. They also understand the developmental nature of literacy learning. I understand that the pathway to literacy is developmental and that becoming literate is a social process where students are active learners so I patiently help my students understand this subject and put them through.
