My name is Makinde, I am a second class upper division graduate of Chemical and Polymer Engineering from the University of Lagos. I was awarded a university scholarship all through my stay in the University as a result of my excellent academic performance.

For two (2) years now, I have successfully taught Mathematics, Chemistry and Physics to Secondary Students preparing them for internal examinations and external examinations like Jamb, O-levels and A-levels.

My approach to teaching is that i always tackle fundamentals first, with the aim of developing confidence and basic skills. I have a friendly and approachable style to my teaching which makes my students feel empowered to ask as many questions as they need and approach lessons as a discussion not a lecture.

I always like to take a few lessons to get an appreciation of the strengths and weaknesses of each of my student. Once I have done so, I set challenges and aims for each student, and encourage the student to work through the problems they are having with guidance. I also believe many of the students I teach are capable of achieving their aims, so I do my best to instill confidence!

I give my students the tools to unlock their full potential. My passion for my students and my own educational experience gives me a very strong grounding in enabling this empowerment.
