4 years of experience as a primary school teacher
As a primary school teacher, I have come to realize that it is highly important to ensure these students have a very good knowledge of numbers because in situations where they do not have proper knowledge of numbers, they grow up and begin to develop phobia for Mathematics.
I am Mercy, I am a graduate of History Education from Obafemi Awolowo University and College of Education, Warri. I have 4 years of experience teaching at both primary and secondary levels, I am also a writer and I have written several government approved books.
Having worked with a great number of students over the years I have found that each of them learn and makes sense of their subjects in very particular ways. As such, I always try to match my teaching style with the learning style of my student. I have a great interest in learning strategies and understanding the myriad of ways in which pupils absorb information.
I believe that best results are achieved when students are given the freedom to formulate their own opinions, before having these sensitively challenged. Asking testing questions is central to my approach in every lesson, and I aim to equip my tutees with an intellectual confidence that will serve them well in tricky exams and beyond. This approach also demands flexibility on my part and I work towards that.
My core skills are motivating my students to be the best no matter what and I also aid them in discovering their God given abilities.
