I believe that the best way for one to learn is in a one-on-one setting in which the teacher can truly personalize the explanations to the needs of the student. I try to take the approach of first gauging where the student is at in terms of knowledge and understanding as well as his or her learning style, and then building on that foundation to get to the point where he or she needs to be.

I have always held myself to a higher standard than most,

About

My name is Ogaga,I am a graduate of Mechanical Engineering from the University of Port Harcourt.

I've had over a year of productive and progressive experience as an educator in Technical drawing, mathematics, and physics. I live in Lagos where I teach students physics using IBL (Inquiry-based learning) and virtual labs to help them better understand what they learn and internalize it.

My skill of imparting knowledge in fun and practical ways with patience and care is my major strength while my students remain highly motivated.

My approach to tutoring is tailored to the needs of the individual student. I encourage students to find their own ways to solutions, which I believe is essential to building confidence, developing style, and finding a voice in their work. My role is to help guide them there — offering tools, tricks, and strategies to make this process more efficient (reducing time) and more effective (reducing errors). My style is relaxed but rigorous.

I believe that best results are achieved when students are given the freedom to formulate their own opinions, before having these sensitively challenged. Asking testing questions is central to my approach in every lesson, and I aim to equip my tutees with an intellectual confidence that will serve them well in tricky exams and beyond.

I'm passionate about science and maths, and I know from personal experience how tricky it can be to grasp some of the concepts in these subjects. However, I strongly believe that no topic is beyond understanding. For me, it is of utmost importance to be able to explain the fundamentals of these topics in layman's terms so that anybody could understand them. I want the student to be so comfortable with a concept, that they themselves could easily explain it to their friends or family. It's only at this point that a student will feel comfortable answering questions in an exam setting.
