The mastery of Mathematics can be really rewarding but it requires ample opportunity for discussion if a student is to grasp the bigger picture. I have found that teaching Mathematics from the core concept and very basics, step by step through to the wider applications is best for ensuring a complete understanding of the subject.
Creating individual lessons and learning materials for every student is also essential to provide optimal learning and students need to feel confident that they can ask any question they have. Many people learn in different ways, but I have found that there are many topics that students find easier to master outside the classroom, where there is space to think and ask questions.
About
My name is Ogbebor. I am a Biochemistry graduate of Lagos State University. I am also currently undergoing my Master's degree program in Biochemistry at the Lagos State University.
I am an intuitive, hardworking and responsible teacher who has successfully been teaching all Secondary School levels for the past three (3) years now and have prepared them for internal and external examinations including, IGCSE, O-levels, Jamb and A-Levels.
In my experience teaching and tutoring over the years, one thing that has become abundantly clear is that learning is a very individual process. The great thing about tutoring is that it really allows you to tailor each lesson to the student. I like to place a focus on enjoying the learning process itself and building confidence. Which I have found is as important a factor as any when communicating new information with the goal for long term retention.
Helping my students untap their full potentials is something that gives me great pleasure. I utilise the ideal method of learning in order to make the best use of our time and to accelerate their understanding.
