Mathematics is a subject that poses to be highly daunting to a lot of children. I ensure I am highly supportive and constructive when teaching because students tend to have a phobia for anything that has to do with calculation/figures.

I also ensure I break down topics to less complex pieces that will allow the students assimilate/understand better

About

In my teaching process, I welcome the focus on the individual learner that is a central feature of tutoring, and I enjoy engaging in the lively dialogue and individualized feedback that enables tutees to grow in confidence as learners. I make sure to bring enthusiasm and energy to my tutoring. Thanks to my work as a school teacher, my approach to tutoring is also informed, where relevant, by a sound understanding of the assessment requirements for public examinations and school entrance examinations.

I make sure to apply a structured and detailed approach in order to instill confidence in my students and help develop their skills. I have learnt to be adaptable, flexible and dynamic in order to meet the individual needs of each student, and having taught a wide range of ages and abilities across the spectrum.

I understand the importance of employing different learning styles and strategies in order to maximize each student's full potential.
