When teaching I am particularly concerned with building up my students' confidence. Particularly for test preparation, becoming confident in one's ability to master the exam is vital for success. I do this by coming up with creative ways to ensure that my students can find a way to enjoy the subject we are working on together.
I have great ability to relate with any child or pupil of any personality type with my training as a psychologist.
My past tutoring experience and highly academic background mean that I am very assured in my capabilities to tutor at all levels. I pride myself on my professionalism and take time to prepare lessons that are both stimulating and thorough. Focusing first on any weak spots, I work with my students to fill any gaps in their knowledge and deepen their understanding. I believe my building confidence I can help each of my students to realise their unique potential and flair.
My teaching would focus on introducing basic subjects and concepts, such as colors, shapes and basic math, and most importantly social skills and student participation.
I encourage students to be goal-oriented and maintain enthusiasm and motivation by establishing clear attainable milestones, which strike a balance between challenging them and also developing confidence. Most importantly, however, I think it is essential that the students enjoy their sessions and that the subject matter is made relevant and relatable. I consider myself to be very positive, patient and approachable and I strive to cultivate a safe environment in which students feel comfortable to express their difficulties and explore diverse methods to enhance learning and achieve their desired aims.
