About

My name is Ruth. I am a graduate of French Language from Delta State University. I am married with children.

For the past three (3) years, i have taught students in Nursery and Primary School the French language.

When teaching French to students, relationship is key for me. I have found that without a trusting base upon which to build, progress is very slow. That is why I put a great deal of effort into ensuring that the atmosphere and approach are calm and open with the ultimate aim of high intensity, low-pressure learning.

Knowing fully well that French language is not the first language of my students, I have a very high expectation for them and want them to work hard for whatever it is they are looking for, be it entry into top schools or their school's termly examinations.

Having spent a great deal of time in the classroom, I have come across all types of learning style and can alter my approach accordingly. I am very passionate about the French language and i enjoy breaking down and demystifying the more complex aspects of it to my students.

I have a naturally positive rapport with my students and that helps me to engage and manage lessons effectively. I am enthusiastic, approachable and dedicated, and I endeavour to present myself and run my classes in a way that the learning of French is fun.

As a class Manager, I made sure the pupils in my class were always at their best behavior. I ensured the class was well organized. I made sure the pupils books and writing materials were always and at their disposal when needed. As a subject Teacher, I taught Home Economics which is not my field of study. I had to take it up as it was the vacant position as at the time I applied to the school. I learned as I carried out my duty. I loved the subject and it was rewarding as I watched the children partake skillfully in each project they were assigned.
