Reading is essential for a child’s success. All too often, the barriers faced by children with difficulty reading outweigh their desire to read and, without proper guidance, they never overcome them.
Learning to read is a sequential process; each new skill builds on the mastery of previously learned skills. Early on, for example, children learn to break down words into their most basic sounds in a process called decoding. Later, they begin to comprehend the meaning of words, sentences and, ultimately, entire passages of text.
Decoding creates the foundation on which all other reading skills are built. For many, decoding comes naturally, quickly becoming an automatic process. For people who struggle to decode words, however, the process requires such extreme concentration that they often miss much of the meaning in what they read. Indeed, according to many experts, decoding problems are at the root of most reading disabilities.

I am extremely passionate about the subjects I teach and try to extend this passion and enthusiasm to my students to help them gain the confidence they want and need to tackle their exams successfully.
I have several years of experience as a teacher. I have taught in the Nursery, Primary and College level . I can confidently take all subjects at the Nursery and Primary levels.
I am very passionate about success, therefore I strive to put in all my acquired skills to make sure that my students are successful in all their endeavors especially academically.
Personal relationship with my students is something I value greatly and spend some time in the first lesson establishing areas of common interest, as well as trying to get to know what interests them and what particular hurdles they face.
It is this relationship that is vital to ensuring that I am able to tailor my lessons according to a specific child's abilities and interests.
