A Government Teacher with 6 years Experience Of Building 'A' Level Students in Examinations That Matter.

Government has been one of the subjects that students think is boring because of volumes of definitions to know, dates to memorize, and history to quote and write. I started by making students know that Government is a subject that would equip them with superior knowledge of their nation and state based on what they know of the government in the past and what they currently see the government do. With the use of videos and pictures, I explained the basic concepts of Government, Pre-Colonial Governments, Colonialism, Constitutions, Constitutional Reforms, and many others. 

The result was almost immediate and magical for many students. They saw and understood the subject from an angle they had never seen before. They appreciated it more and paid more attention to political activities happening in their countries such as policy-making and implementation. Under my guidance and tutelage, they engaged in debates and gave speeches as if it were in real political scenes. My school permitted us to run elections so the entire school would know the nitty gritty of elections and the whole process of civic responsibility.

The result was also great in WAEC, NECO, and JAMB. They turned out with great grades and scores. My efforts in engaging them in these activities paid off.

I am a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Benin and currently studying for my PGDE at the National Open University of Nigeria.

I have 6 years of experience teaching English Language and Literature in English. My students have always come top in their grades in any examination I prepared them for. The lowest grade I celebrated with my students in the just concluded WAEC was 'B3' and my students turned out with outstanding scores in the JAMB examination. I produced a student that scored as high as 327 in the recent JAMB. This has always been the norm for me all the years I have been teaching.

I have always been instrumental in teaching and preparing students for external examinations. I am a skillful motivator, communicator, and public speaking coach. I am also proficient with the use of software packages such as Microsoft Excel and Word.
