As a teacher, I am committed to doing anything I can to help my students learn and achieve their goals. I will work hard to come up with lessons that will help every student better retain the subject matter. To this end, I will incorporate participatory activities, guided practice, problem-based learning, and real-world applications to help students make progress and build on their skills. Through my teaching experience thus far, I have found that facilitating rather than dictating is a highly beneficial style of teaching. I have learned that if students construct their own learning experiences, they will not only retain information longer, but they will also become more confident in their abilities.
I love working with students and will continue to strive to be a positive influence in their lives. I realize how vital education is in the preparation for young people to achieve success in all endeavors set before them. I hope to instill a love of learning and a desire for constant knowledge within each student. I bring strong instructional, motivational and creative skills to fast-paced learning environments, keeping students engaged and interested in the subjects being taught. Through the years, I have learned to incorporate fun individual and classroom activities that have proven effective in helping students develop grade-appropriate reading comprehension and writing abilities.
