Upper primary math tutor

I have been a tutor for four years now. I have taught in some schools and also been a private tutor. I learnt to observe every child to know what their weakness are and what the child enjoy doing, by this I'm able to strike a balance between the school work a child finds so hard to understand or uninterested in and the school work they see as fun and which excites the child. I try to go extra miles when I'm asked for additional help or clarification. I use lesson plans in which I usually introduce the topic in a fun and creative way, I also ensure time for students to practice the materials on their own, although this method can be adjusted based on the subjects and student's individual needs. There are activities to do when a child seems uninterested or isn't paying attention. I implement and introduce the three domains of learning which include cognitive (thinking), affective (emotions or feeling) and Psychomotor (Physical or kinesthetic). It is imperative to understand that there are different categories of learners who have varying needs and as such different methods must be adopted in the planning and delivery of lessons to ensure that such needs are addressed. Learning how to do something new can have many cognitive benefits.
